Sound Editor Wins Special Award at Cannes!!!

For the first time in the history of the festival, Cannes has awarded their presitgious Prix Vulcain to sound designer Leslie Schatz for his work on the Gus van Sant film Last Days. Leslie has previously been nominated for Golden Reel Awards for his work on the The Mummy and The Mummy Returns. Congratulations on your prestigious award!

There was a screening of the Student Nominees' Films on FRIDAY 2/25 at 7:30 PM at the University of Southern California School fo Cinema- Television George Lucas Instructional Building, Room 108 on the University Park campus. The award will be presented by Walter Murch at the 52nd Annual "Golden Reel" Awards to be held Saturday, Feb. 26, 2005, at the Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles. Go to Full Article.
