Scott G.G. Haller

HallerScott Geoffrey George Haller is a graduate of Amherst College (B.A. in American Studies, '85) and the University of Southern California School of Cinema-Television (M.F.A. in Production, '91).  Scott's initial major sound job was as Paramount Pictures' first feature digital sound assistant, where he helped develop procedures to adapt the new technology to the traditions of studio post production. After a number of years he moved on to being a Dialogue, Foley and FX editor and has worked on many movies, including Independence Day, Star Trek: First Contact, Beavis and Butt-Head Do America, Muppets from Space, There's Something About Mary, Tortilla Soup, and The Passion of the Christ. Scott has lectured and published articles on the importance of filmmakers making every effort to get good production sound and produced the MPSE/American Cinematheque sound design show in 2004.

Jason B. Arnold

JasonPhotoJason B. Arnold served as Sony Pictures Senior Audio Engineer, responsible for all the audio elements of their launch titles, and then led Warner Bros. DVD Audio mastering division. Projects include The Matrix, Any Given Sunday, Amadeus, Bullitt, and From The Cradle 2 The Grave. Has worked on over 700 DVD titles. Created Skyline Sound, a full-service audio mixing, mastering and editing facility in Studio City. Clients include Disney, Sony, Warner Bros., and Palm Pictures, to name a few. Skyline Sound has worked on Theatrical, Television, and DVD releases including Tarzan, Monsters, Inc., Treasure Planet, and Lion King. Additionally, we have worked with artists such as The Supreme Beings of Leisure to create 5.1 mixes of their CD product releases.

Skye Lewin is a songwriter, record producer and music editor. After studying music production & engineering and percussion performance at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Skye moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in music and film. Skye's music editorial work can be heard in several television series and films, including CSI: Miami, Entourage, How To Make It In America, and The Karate Kid (2010). He has received two M.P.S.E. Golden Reel Awards and two Primetime Emmy nominations.



Steven Saltzman

Music Editor & Composer Steven Saltzman has a diverse musical background. His education includes a Bachelors of Music Degree in composition and film scoring from Berklee College of Music in Boston. He also studied composition with Boston Conservatory composer John Hess. While on the East coast Mr. Saltzman composed music for WGBH and ABC Television, animated films, a variety of commercials as well as for the theatre in Boston. Steven eventually moved to California to pursue his dream of working in Hollywood scoring motion pictures. There he composed the score for numerous independent films, commercials and syndicated television shows. He continued to study composition and orchestration with Dr. Albert Harris, and he attended the BMI Film Scoring workshop with Earl Hagan. Also, he has composed the music for The Chicken From Outerspace, an Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences Award of Merit animation film.

For the past fifteen years Mr. Saltzman has focused his career on music editing for films and television. His work includes : Priest, Seven Days In Utopia, Straw Dogs (re-make), Born to be a Star, The Hole, The Answer Man, Dragonball: Evolution Dragon Ball, War Inc, The. King of California, Strange Wilderness, Deck The Halls (Additional Editing), Ghost Rider (Additional Editing), Bewitched, The House Of D, Desperate Housewives (Additional Editing), Santa’s Slay, The Perfect Score (Additional Editing), A Guy Thing, HeartBreakers, The Outsider, How To Kill Your Neighbor’s Dog, Dead And Breakfast, This Space Between Us, and Hyperion Bay, a Warner Bros. TV series. He has worked with various composers including Dave Robbins, Mark Mothersbaugh, J.A.C. Redford, Larry Groupé, and Ernest Troost. Steven has also been awarded a 2005 Golden Reel Award for his music editing.

Mr. Saltzman is a certified Digidesign pro tools instructor and has written a music-editing course and is presently teaching at Musicians Institute. He is both a member of the Editors Guild and sits on the board of the M.P.S.E.. Steven can be reached at: [email protected]

Damian Candusso - Australia

Damian works in Australia as a sound designer and academic. With over 15 years of industry experience in film, animation, games and music, some of his credits include the Happy Feet 2, Sanctum, Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole, Daybreakers, Australia and Happy Feet. Working within a nexus of both industry and academia allows Damian to be engaged on the latest films, and also research better working methodologies. This includes the creative and technical aspects of film sound and new media. Having worked on both live action and animated 3D films, Damian is currently studying a PhD investigating the relationship between 3D visuals and the soundtrack.

Kevin Howard - Toronto

He has been recognized as an elite Sound Designer, and Sound Effects editor by organizations such as the Director’s Guild of Canada, The Motion Picture Sound Editors, The Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television, and The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

Some of his credits include the multiple Emmy Nominated Mini Series Broken Trail, Award Winning Documentary Sharkwater, The Veteran, TV Series Heartland and Witchblade, Imax films Super Speedway, and At The Max.

Michael Orlowski - Florida

Specializing in sound effects, Michael has provided custom created sounds for numerous film, TV, and large format productions in Los Angeles and Orlando. He is currently working at Full Sail University where he oversees a world-class post sound facility. Some of his credits include: The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys, Crime and Punishment in Suburbia (FILM), Jackie Bouvier Kennedy Onassis (TV), Adventures in Wild California, and Dolphins (IMAX).
